As you know, on September 17th the technology enhancements we have been planning will be live!  Our goal is to provide you with useful resources and to keep you in the "know" during the transition.

Below are a few key highlights to be aware of as we embark upon our technology upgrade.

Online Banking

  • Your Online Banking account will transition to “view only” mode on Friday, September 14, 2012. Between Friday, September 14th and Sunday, September 16th, you will be unable to schedule any bill payments or transfers.  On Monday, September 17, 2012, you may resume access on our upgraded Online Banking system.  Please note:  People's Bank of Virginia customers will not have access during this time.

  • Your User Login ID will remain the same; however, your temporary Online Banking password for the initial login will be the last four digits of your Social Security number or Tax ID number. You’ll need to change your password. Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number/TIN as your current password and then enter and confirm your new password and click Continue. See short tutorial video.

  • For your initial login, you may be prompted to setup your PassMark image and Security Questions again.  Choose your new Personal Identification Image.  This screen provides instructions to setup your security questions. Choose and answer all three of the Challenge Questions.

  • If you currently utilize FI to FI transfers (external transfers), for security purposes, you must reestablish those accounts once you access your Online Banking account after the upgrade.  Learn More.

  • Pseudo Names (Account Nicknames), such as "My checking"  will not carry over.  However, you can rename your accounts once you access your Online Banking account after the upgrade. Select the Settings tab and the Accounts submenu.

Business Online Banking and Cash Management

  • Your Business Online Banking account will transition to “view only” mode on Friday, September 14, 2012. Between Friday, September 14th and Sunday, September 16th, you will be unable to schedule Payroll, ACH Batches or Wire Transfers.  Any transactions that you would like to have made during this time period will need to be scheduled prior to Friday, September 14, 2012. Any one-time or recurring transaction that has been scheduled before Friday, September 14, will be processed. On Monday, September 17, 2012, you may resume access on our upgraded Online Banking system.

  • Your User Login ID will remain the same; however, your temporary Online Banking password for the initial login will be the last four digits of the business Tax ID. You’ll need to change your password. Enter the last four digits of your business TIN as your current password and then enter and confirm your new password and click Continue.

  • The ACH and Wire cut-off dates and times have changed. The cut-off time for Wires and ACH is now 4:00 p.m. Also, ACH processing has changed from two day processing to one day.

  • Login credentials need to be changed when downloading from Quicken, Quick Books or Mint for the first time. Download and save your file. If you are downloading from Quicken using the one-step process, you will need to change your login credentials.

  • Batches already created need to be copied and renamed as Template. This will be the file to copy from each pay period in order to open a work file for the new batch to be initiated. For example: Payroll Template – Collections File, etc....

Bill Pay

  • You will be unable to access your Bill Pay account beginning Monday, September 10, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. through Sunday, September 16, and you will be unable to schedule any new payments during this time.
